Day Training – Our “Board and Train” Alternative!

Have you considered sending your dog away to be trained?

Do you feel uncomfortable with that concept?

Day Training is a wonderful alternative to a board and train program where your dog has to be away from you for an extended amount of time.
Our Day Training service involves a trainer coming to you multiple times a week, over 3 weeks, and working with your dog in the comfort of their own home.
At the end of the 3 weeks you and the trainer will meet to have a skills transfer session where they will go over what was taught during the program,
how to maintain the behaviors, and changes that you may need to make in your home.

Each session with your dog is 45-60 minutes and we do not require you to be present during the training, only for the skill transfer session.

Initial Session (In-Home): $165

7 Session Package (2 45-60 minute sessions + 1 skill transfer session at the end of the 3 weeks): $980
10 Session Package (3 45-60 minute sessions + 1 skill transfer session at the end of the 3 weeks): $1400
13 Session Package (4 45-60 minute sessions + 1 skill transfer session at the end of 3 weeks): $1820

Did you know that puppies are only in their socialization stage for a short window of time?
The American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior recommends socializing puppies in a safe manner before the
completion of vaccines. Here you can read their official position statement.

In this class we will take advantage of your puppy’s socialization stage to help them get accustomed
to veterinary care, handling for grooming, sounds, surfaces, and much more! We will also teach basic cues such as sit, down,
intro to leash walking and help with behaviors such as nipping, jumping, and potty training.

The Basics $250 | 5 weeks | 1 hour

Learn how to develop a clear form of communication with your dog. In this class we will work on your dog focusing
on you in public, as well as basic cues such as sit, down, stay, walking on a loose leash, and recall.
Being in a group also allows us to help your dog learn to perform in front of other dogs and people.
Dogs must be 4 months or over to join this class.

More Manners $250 | 5 weeks | 1 hour

Prerequisite: The Basics

This class focuses on your dog learning to perform cues with more distraction and expanding your dog’s skill set.
In this class we will work on leash walking with distractions, wait at the door, recall with
distractions, stay with distractions, duration, and distance (separately), go to place, and polite greetings.
Your dog will also learn a fun trick!
Dogs must be 4 months or over to join this class.

Advanced $250 | 5 weeks | 1 hour

Prerequisite: More Manners

Advanced class is for dogs who have made it through our Basics and More Manners classes and
are ready for a more challenging environment. In this class we will work on your dog responding to you
with moderate to high levels of distractions present. Cues we will work on with distractions include
wait, stay, and recall. Your dog will also learn the ‘heel’ cue and work on a fun trick!

AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Prep $275 | 5 weeks | 1 hour

This class will prepare you and your dog to take the American Kennel Club’s Canine Good Citizen Test (AKC CGC).
This test is a great first step in working towards a therapy dog certification and is sometimes helpful when looking to rent with a dog.
The cost of the test is included in the class price and will be held on the 5th week of class.
